Trade to Scale Up Renewable Energy

The purpose of the session is to advance the possibility of an international rules-based framework on trade that supports a scale-up of renewable energy at a global level. Sustainable Energy Trade Initiatives, including eventual agreements (SETA) between key parties, would bring countries together around the imperative of a massive, urgent scale-up of innovation, production and deployment of sustainable energy goods, services and technologies addressing tariffs, a broad range of non-tariff barriers and non-border distortive or obstructive measures. The session takes the form of a facilitated interactive session.
